The ASIBS Short Course application will be open to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria, which include:
1) be a junior faculty or fellow at an academic medical institution in the US
2) be a US citizen or permanent US resident
The application cycle for 2018 is now closed. The ASIBS 2019 application cycle will open in summer 2018, check back in July/August.
Applicants will be asked to demonstrate their current or upcoming involvement in a research project as well as their need for the statistical skills offered by the ASIBS Short Course. We also require completion of a short survey by the applicant's mentor and a CV.
To determine the diversity of the applicant pool, all participants will be asked to self-report their gender, academic rank, and race/ethnicity as defined by the NIH.
Note that underrepresented minorities (URMs) will be actively recruited and highly encouraged to participate in the ASIBS Short Course.
Each participant will be charged a tuition fee of $375.00 upon acceptance to the program.
In an effort to enhance diversity a limited number of lodging scholarships will be made available.
